Solstice Sailing

It was a wonderful trip over the Solstice. We spent a couple of days in Bowen Anchorage (N60 00.90 W149 04.00) which is on the east side of Day Harbor (N59 58.8 W149 09.73). The first day we had a Humpback whale blow right next to the boat and on the second morning while ashore with the dog another Humpback came into the cove and was feeding about 20 feet from shore where we stood --- guess who left the camera in the boat!!

On the return trip we spotted a pod of Orca and ended with a 7.5 to 8.25 knot broad reach back to the harbor.

More photos and video.
