help.

when i sail my gulf 32 it steers just fine, but when i''m motoring it pulls sharply to the right, the faster you go, the more it pulls. I have 38 horse Perkins.

SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU HAVE EITHER THE WRONG SIZE OR WRONG PITCHED PROP. IF YOU KNOW YOUR PROP DIMENSIONS YOUR LOCAL PROP SHOP SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP YOU. WHAT HAPPENS IN REVERSE? HAVE YOU HAD THE BOAT OUT OF THE WATER RECENTLY? IS SHAFT OUT OF LINE OR BENT?
ALSO CHECK CUTLASS BEARING FOR EXCESSIVE WEAR. ARE YOU EXPERIENCING ANY VIBRATION??--WOULD INDICATE EITHER MISALIGNEMENT OR BAD MOTOR MOUNTS.
