need help with marina selection!!

I own a Dehler 36 sailboat with a 6''2" draft.The boat is in Europe right now but will be shipped to USA in July.
I am looking for a marina slip with nice clean facilities,reasonably easy sailing distance from the ocean in and around Southern North Carolina and Northern South Carolina coast.Basically from Oriental to Charleston.We do race so having a PHRF fleet around would be nice,too.
Any marina suggestions where you have personal experience will be greatly appriciated.

DP, Have I got a marina for you. It''s called Northwest Creek Marina. Bud Ellis is the dockmaster. (Greatest guy you will ever meet). Showers, pools, min. golf, big golf, restraunt, Last summer sat on boat listening to band playing Carolina girls and J. Buff. music. Marina is 10 miles w. of Oriental towards New Bern, NC. Matter of fact, we fell in love with the place and bought a lot about 1/4 mile from the marina for our retirement days. Next sat. Bud is having his annual breakfast...free eats cooked by Bud and crew for the marina crowd. Marina is very secure and we have a few live-a-boards too. Naw you dont want that much draft in the river, toooo many clay shoals like the hampton. It gets crowded and the jelly fish keep the local diverd hopping. Daytonasailor shhhhhhhhh

DoublePlay, I have been searching feverishly for a company that can ship my 30'' boat from the US to Europe. I was wondering if you could lend assistance by getting me the information to contact the firm shipping your vessel.

Also, does the boat get packaged into a large shipping container or something? How is it moved?

Thanks for the advice guys , but most of the marina owners that I talked to(at least honest ones) are telling me over 6''draft in the Neuse River area including Oriental is impractical.
I guess I have to look into Beaufort-Moorehead area.

My wife and I keep Bushwacker at the South Harbour Village Marina in Southport, NC(just south of Wilmington). Southport is right at the entrance to the Cape Fear River; you have easy access to the Atlantic and the marina is on the ICW. SHVM is a new marina, the fees are very reasonable, and the facilities are nice. As far as your draft goes, we draw 5''4 and we do have to wait out dead low tide before entering or leaving our slip...no problem at the transient dock, and they are beginning to do some more dredging. Keith, the wife and I want to take a trip down from New Bern this summer. Can you give me an idea of dock prices or transient rates. We have a 28 ft. cat with a 14-6 beam....thanks, Mike.
