Whale Video - I'm a believer now!

I thought the whale/sailboat picture was photoshopped...I admit it! This video has made a believer out of me! In the story that is!

Oh I don't know that you need to back off your skeptic's stance... after all, the video is up right next to "Chupacabra Found!"

harassment

I say the couple got what they deserved. It's obvious that they and others were way too close to the whales and were there to "observe" them. Why else would several other boaters have their camera and video camera on the ready. At first I thought it was an incredible happening that the whale hit a boat and another person had their camera out and ready to get the photo.

Dwayne, how do you get harassment from that video, or are ya piggy backing on the statement someone printed in the news artical.

Kinda hard to harass a whale in a sailboat, even harder to make way from a whale when their cruising speed is equal to most sailboats under full sail

Two weeks ago we had one come within 10 ft of us, never knew she was there until we were on top of her, had we been seconds later we would have had contact

I think it's just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, it's a Right whale after all, not Moby Dick

Agreed Poop!

There are other stories that it wasn't the sail boat doing the harassing but a RIB moments before.

Personally I think its just a freak accident and the whale had no clue the boat was even there....Just a young bull feeling its oats and showing off in the mirror.

We get Orca encounters all the time around here...if they swim to me Im not going to run away from them as they can over take me anyway...we just shut down and let them do there thing....To may dang rules over this kind of crap....arrest the whale not me.

"Go Simple...Go Large"

Relationships are everything to me..everything else in life are just tools to enhance them.

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.

Now if there was a whale with a possible aggrassive streak it would be a Orca and even with that knowlage, I'd feel safer around a pod of Orcas than any pod a Baleen whales simply due to their use of echosonar, you get tapped by one of those, it's for a reason
