A Sail with Courtney- San Juan Islands

Hi All-
We are hosting the San Juan Islands event and we want to invite all PNW boaters to come join the festivities. We will be anchored at Spencer Spit State Park on Lopez Island (either on the north or south side of the spit depending on winds, etc) . You can come by boat, or car via the ferries, and there are campsites at the park. We are sending an announcement to the local chapter of the YSC in Seattle and really hope some of them attend. We'll set up a spot on the beach with refreshments (hope everyone likes Rockfish ale), camp stoves, etc and it should be fun. Look for the "Sail with Courtney" flags and come share this special day with us. I would encourage everyone to order a flag, all proceeds go to the YSC. Here is a link to the site where you can order them.

Hope to see lot's of you there,
John & Laurie

PS We are out cruising so replies to questions may take a little while

As divine intervention would have it - we will be out on the water for the last two weeks in August. We'll either catch the San Juan event or Ron's organized BC event. Look forward to it.

Nikko- that's great news, I was afraid it was just going to be one lonely sailboat, looking forward to it!
Nemier- well I know Ron has a lot more friends than I do so he will probably have a bigger turn out, but we'll have better beer

Come on all you PNW Sailneters, we can do better than two or three boats for Courtney, can't we?

John

Well we might make it by land yacht.

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.

I was there yesterday. What day are you going to be at the spit?

Looks like Nikko should be back in the water by the end of this week. John, I can make a Costco run for the shindig to help out.

That would be great Ray, I'll give you a call when we get closer to home. Can you drink half a keg? I'm planning on getting one at Rockfish in Anacortes, but unless more PNW Sailneters show up it's just going to be you and me (and everyone else on the beach when they see us passed out in the sand and an almost full keg sittin there).

Alert Bay last night, Port McNeil tonight, sailing (hopefully) across Q. Charlotte St. in the morning after the fog lifts to Jennis Bay (water temp. 47F).
