Keep Turning Left - The slug hits the rocks and is holed

I hit a rock off Cromer and the slug got holed and is now ashore for a month or so - bumma

YouTube - Keep Turning Left Vlog - The Hole

Looks like it will be off the water for the two best sailing months of the year

double bumma

At least it will give me time to catch up with editing the films about the Deben, Alde, Ore, Butley and Blythe

Noooooooooooooooooooo..........

Oh cruel fate, 'tis a harsh world for a poor slug. A hacks life can be hard.

Slap a lump of frozen snot on her bum and she'll be apples mate.

Ah, maybe not, but the residents of Wombat Manor is well gutted DW, not as much as you are no doubt, but gutted nonetheless. Fingers crossed that things are not as bad as they might be. We wish you well.

For what its worth, a fuzzy hug from us both.

That's too bad, but I'm sure you'll get it back in the water. Wish I was there, I would be happy to help fix it.

I have been enjoying your travels, I spent many enjoyable years in Portsmouth and visted East Anglia a few times.

Enjoy the Cromer crabs, but shallow pan broil with half water, half pale ale and season well. The local resturants tend to over-cook them.

Love this forum - you post an item about a sinking boat and you geta recipe for cooking crabs. I must remember to be less literal with my future posts. I love the existential nature of the replies.

The boat is now a long way from Cromer

as for the crabs - frightened of sea food - got me twice and that was enough - just the smell makes me feel slightly quesy now.

As for getting the slug back on the water - what with the hole, roller reefing, new hatch, stainless steel welding and cutlass gland I have a fair amount of work to do - and a fair amount of money to find. BUt I have been hammering the boat pretty hard for three seasons now so the investment is well overdue.

So if anyone feels like signing up for the website - $4.99 through paypal for well over 12 hours of film I promise that I will not spend a penny on seafood. Instead I shall squander it on boat bits.

Dylan
