there are other journeys on the web to follow - mentioning no names of course but there is this bloke.... with a £2,000 18 footer undertaking the slowest circumnavigation of a small island ever undertaken and cursing mobo owners all the way.

Just saw the blog and I'm jealous already. Spain looks Awesome! Definitely a place to visit when I do my Circumnavigation.
Heck! I may end up going the other direction first just to get to it faster...
What's the length of stay on a visa there?

Presuming US citizens are treated the same as Australians (though with less respect of course ) you get free entry for ninety days on a thing called a Schengen Agreement visa or somesuch.

And yes Spain is the goods, for me especially Catalonia and Valencia on the Med, the Balearics in the Med then the Basque Country and Galicia on the Biscay Coast.

Throw in Portugal and you have two of the finest places on the planet to eat and drink your way though.
