Advice on Calumet Harbor Chicago for scow sailing

Lake Michigan access is very limited for dink sailors in Chicago. I have a Barnett butterfly and it seems conditions will be tame enough to go out on the big water tomorrow. I don't have a shore launch dolly for the little scow yet and was hoping to use the ramp at the Calumet Harbor yacht club. Anyone have experience in those waters and is it feasible to sail out of the launch with 5knt SE winds.

Or better yet is there any other direct lake access in Chicago that would be better?

Thanks for any input,

Gary

I would rather admit I'm a fool with the posibility of finding I am not, than to deny it showing all the I truly am.
