A couple or years ago I installed a Whale manual pump aboard my boat as an emergency backup. A few weeks ago as I was working aboard I dropped something heavy on it and the top clamp ring broke.
I tried several local retailers for help, including the one where I originally bought the pump, to no avail. Some suggested that I needed to buy a new pump.
Then I got in touch with Whale themselves, through the internet, right there in Northern Ireland. Within a few days, a new clamp ring arrived at my door, free of charge!
Good quality service backing up a good quality product! Whale gets my vote!
I''ll second this one...last summer I had to install a Whale pump on my boat. I was contemplating changing models, but was unsure about the fit...I contacted Whale also and they were kind enough to fax me diagrams with all the dimensions...in addition to having a great product, they were very kind to deal with.
