West Erie Marinas

I am heading up to the Port Clinton area next weekend to look around at marinas. Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations to make my list a little shorter. Also let me know if there are any local restaurants that I shouldn't miss. Thanks.

Port Clinton sailboat marinas:
Brands- lots of sailboats. Quick access to lake. Downside: drawbridge to go under. Pros: Marina knowledgable about sailboats.

Hurls Harbor and NE Port, Catawba Moorings: all beside each other on East side of Catawba: Lots of sailboats. Downside: takes about 20 minutes to get out onto Lake.

Catawba Island Club: great marina, beautiful club. Expensive. Private club. No downside other than $.

Lots of other options in Sandusky, but you can't beat the Port Clinton location.

Restaurants: Best in area are private clubs. Try downtown Port Clinton- the Island House, Irish place across the street (can't remember name)

Feel free to email me for more info. I've been in PC a long time.

Port Clinton Marina

Another vote for Brands. They cater to sail boats. Family owned. Great service and maintenance crew. I love Port Clinton. The Irish bar is McCarthy's. Another one is Bootleggers right on the river. You can dine there also by boat at the dock.
