Annapolis Sailboat Show

I need to replace the electronics on my Tartan 33. I'm trying to decide on whether to wait for the Sailboat Show. Can anyone comment on the deals that might be had or am I better off buying from an on-line dealer.

Thanks
Bill

All the different lines have the odd special deal. But there is no general large discount across the board.

Unless you need it right away I'd wait and see what price you can get at the show. Most vendors are willing to negotiate if you start the process. Try shopping on the web the week before the show. Once you find what you want, at the best price, print it out and bring it to the show with you. Show it to the vendor and see if they'll match the price. See if there are multiple vendors carrying the same item and play them against each other. The worst thing they can say is no. I've bought countless items this way over the years. Binoculars, foul weather gear, chartplotter, shoes. If you can't find a deal then order off the web when you get home.

PalmettoSailor will become famous soon enough
The other possilbity is Defenders Warehouse sale. The offer the same deals on-line as at the show so I've bought a few items from them in the past.

I'd love to go up there for the sale one of these years though.
