Danforth Constellation Replacement

I have a very broken Danforth Constellation Binnacle compass, and am looking for a drop-in replacement by another manufacturer.
The Danforth looks terminal, I think someone drank the alcohol, and replaced it with water, which froze and cracked everything.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks
RJ

Look for a replacement on ebay. I've seen them sell for as little as $200

Hi RJ,

Howard Maglathlin (Viking Instruments, Inc.) has got everything you need.

6" Binnacle Mount Danforth Constellation
O-Ring 23-A12373 $25.00
Dome 24-A9994 $70.00
Filler Plug Gasket 27-A9504 $4.00
Diaphragm (exchange it! You will have a great compass!)
Compass oil: ISOPAR L

The assembling ist very easy. What you need is listed above. Cool the oil in a fridge to squeeze out the airbubbles. Do not tighten the fillerplug the compass unless the oil has got a normal temperature. I filled my constellation c. with a small hose to prevent a bubble. It's still perfect!

Luis
