The Danforth looks terminal, I think someone drank the alcohol, and replaced it with water, which froze and cracked everything.

Hi RJ,
Howard Maglathlin (Viking Instruments, Inc.) has got everything you need.
6" Binnacle Mount Danforth Constellation
O-Ring 23-A12373 $25.00
Dome 24-A9994 $70.00
Filler Plug Gasket 27-A9504 $4.00
Diaphragm (exchange it! You will have a great compass!)
Compass oil: ISOPAR L
The assembling ist very easy. What you need is listed above. Cool the oil in a fridge to squeeze out the airbubbles. Do not tighten the fillerplug the compass unless the oil has got a normal temperature. I filled my constellation c. with a small hose to prevent a bubble. It's still perfect!
