I'm more confused now than before... how do you get PDX from OR?

In any case, Craig's List should work really well for you since you're up there where these things were born. There's the sanjuan21.net website, but it is a horrible place and I don't recommend it. The Fleet 1 site is great and I do recommend it.

yachtworld.com

Sailing Texas, sailing lessons, sailboats for sale, yacht sales, sailboat rentals, charters, sailing videos lots of boats here, dont let the 'texas' fool ya, they are all over.

probably most of your marina have a 'for sale' section on there website. for local marinas search
Marinas.com, World's Marinas Portal, and Marina Directory
i believe they list if any particular marina has a sales dept. if you find a marina with a decent selection, you may wanna spend half a day checking them out to get a feel for whats out there.

good luck... for the numerous reasons listed above i would continue the hunt.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Anyway here are some that I thought look nice, (i'm not particularly fixed on the SJ).

Catalina 27 w/ 8 h.p. outboard

Catalina 22 foot sailboat with trailer
