Just a quick question:

Had my Tech licence KA9GAT but dropped it waaaaaay back in 1985. Can I get my licence re-instated? Keep the same old call letters? Used to be active in MARS, teletype, HF and 2 meters.

SVAuspicious will become famous soon enough
From qrz.com it looks like KA9GAT hasn't been reissued. If you pass the tests again you can apply under the vanity call program to get your old call back. I think there is a small fee.

The tests aren't hard.
