Day Sailing companies in St. Thomas

Hi Everyone,

Forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place, but based on what I've read on the forum, I would really like your opinion on day sailing companies in St. Thomas. Just about every review we've read of every company here is positive, which is no surprise considering how good sailing is said to be here, but does anyone have any specific recommendations, especially for this time of year?

My wife and I are here all this week, and would love to get something scheduled for mid-to-end week. We know little of sailing (if you couldn't tell by this post), other than many years ago when my wife and a group crewed a large sailboat around the Cayman Islands for a week.

They are a few dozen to choose from. It is a tough business and the bad ones don't last long! If you could describe what it is you want to do or where you want to go, I could narrow your search down some. As an example, if you want to go to Buck Island and snorkel much of your time I would suggest somebody different than if you wanted to sail to a beach on St John. Enjoy your stay.

Well, for us, the act of sailing is the most interesting part, vs. anchoring or docking somewhere for 90% of the day. Beyond that, snorkeling is next, and visiting other islands last. We'll probably end up at St John at some point reguardless.

The one that's holding our interest right now is Nightwind (stjohndaysai dot com) as the smaller group sizes (maximum of 18, but they say most groups are much smaller) are a big plus to us. We're huge fans of smaller groups and a more personal experience, so any recommendations based on size would be fantastic.
