Babylon, NY - to - Bucksport, ME
Well, Thought I'd drop a few shots of our ongoing voyage from Babylon, Long Island, NY to Bucksport, Maine.
At this writing, we have our first opportunity to post photos online since our departure last Monday, (Sept. 13). We are now at a wonderful and friendly marina in Point Judith Pond, the Point Judith Yacht Club.
Hope you like the photos.

Those bridges are lovely. Passing under the Verrazano (not pictured) has always impressed me too. I went up under sail once. Two other times powering sailboats. It's worth the trip.

Looks like you had a great day going through NYC. We sailed our new to us sailboat from Annapolis to New Brunswick Canada two years ago. We too liked Point Judith. Enjoy the rest of the trip and be safe.

Wandering Star!
Hi; I'll post one (a photo of the Verrazano's) right away. :-)

Hi Rikhall,
Wow! That quite the trip. I can say that now after my first long sailing endeavor. I am sure you have lots of memories as we are making.

Hi Wandering Star,
Yes, I am happy I'd listened to our fellow forum members who've suggested taking this route.
This is the Wantagh Parkway south bridge in South Bay, Long Island, NY opening for us on Monday noon (September 13, 2010).
