Anyone live aboard in the mexican summer

Hi,
Do many liveboards remain the whole year in La Paz, PV or Matzatlan. Funding delays have pushed my plans back for the purchase of a yacht to January 2011. Have spotted a couple of yachts which could fit what I need in Mexico. Just wandering what peoples experiences are with the summer heat. I presume most people return north when the summer comes or carry on with their puddle jump to the pacific. As I hold an NZ passport, if I head North to San Diego I would only have 90 days before having to sail south again, so my thoughts are to stay for the entire year in the Sea of Cortez area. I would really appreciate any info from people who have spent the full year. What about hurricane season , any good places to hunker down ???

You become acclimated to the heat... as you would in many other places in the GOM & Caribbean, Mediterranean Or Southeast Asia and there abouts.
