Need info on globe circumnavigate sailing expedition

I read an article maybe in one of the last year''s issue of Cruising World about a globe circumnavigate sailing expedition/
program under sponsorship/auspices of an organization where non-sailor(s) can apply to be part of the crew. The article was written by a guy (a non-sailor) who was selected and wrote his experiences as part of the crew during this long and grueling journey.

Does anybody know what is this expedition and more info on it?

Thanks, Reggie

You want to go to the BT Challenge at:

http://www.btchallenge.com/personal/crewvol/index.htm

Pay your money and you''re onboard, having what it takes to stay onboard is another matter, as their program is no sail on the lake. I toured LG Flatron (the eventual wiining boat) when the fleet was in Boston in 2000 and they seemed to be a first class organization with Everest-expedition quality vessels, equipment and personnel.

Good luck.
