Sailing south from LI sound to Annapolis Md! I did it again.

Hi guys, you guys help me out a lot last year on my trip down south on my Bristol 24. Well I now have a better/bigger boat. And I will be making the trip south once more. I donít have my laptop with me this time due to water damage but I will make some stops along the way and give updates. I will also try and post some pictures of the trip. Just thought I would pop in and say hey. I will be leaving the Connecticut River on Sat. Oct. 2 in the morning if the weather feels good. Oh let me see if I can up load a pic of the new tub.  Has anyone heard from lapworth lately?? Hope he is doing well. If you get this lapworth and have a few days free next week I could use a hand going from Cape May to Annapolis Md. Take us 2-3 days at max taking it easy and donít worry I can get you home on time this boat has an inboard volo diesel that can push this boat 8 knots no problem all day. So wind will not be an issue. I still owe you lapworth so if I can help you get to Cape May NJ let me know and then we can get you to the Rhode River or any point there abouts. Oh the boat is 30í wooden sailboat built by Willis Reed Shipyard in Massachusetts. Good ole boat. Oh Doug shoot me your phone number! Later Dan

Congrats Dan. She is beautiful. I assume you will go by CD canal, I live by Chesapeake City. If you need help, let me know.

All the best.

Very nice boat. Trip sounds like a blast. Now that I'm a sailboat owner, I almost wish I lived back on Long Island. Good memories of sailing in the sound.

Stay safe.

Yes sir. Have the charts for the whole trip. Bought them last year at Bacons.  I did have a gps but I will not have it onboard for this trip. I threw it in the gulf this spring. Gulf of Mexico that is. Long story there. But yes charts/food and yes lapworth even a dinghy this time  But that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love the chance to work with you again. I still have my shirt and hat  Sorry for the short reply but not having my laptop with is a pain having to borrow time on a friends and there is a bit more to do before I head out. I will post again on Monday. Thanks again guys for the advice and encouragement.
