Anyone going?
Any sense as to what the best days to go are and how many days to allocate? I suspect sat and sun are very crowded. The last time I went was over 10 years ago.
I go every year...If you can get there for VIP day on Thursday The crowds are thinner. On the weekends if you get in just as the show opens you can move around a lot easier. The crowd builds as the day goes on. If it gets painful...there are plenty of painkiller stations...
The best food deals, are the roast beef sandwiches at the Fleet Reserve...or try the Jalepeno Hot dogs just outside the fence..near the Reserve..
I find that two days...are sufficient..then I usually head for St Michaels Is.
You'll have to buy me a pain killer to get me to tell you where the best free parking spots are... ;-)
Friday tends to be the best day. Or Monday - prices drop as the venders don't want to carry the stuff home. Week ends with good weather are crowded with non-boaters with baby strollers. Having said that, crowds were down 25% last year because of the economy and fewer boats were present. Probably will be the same this year. If you go early in the morning, parking is available in "charity lots" downtown.
