San Diego Slip needed for 3 months

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good marina in San Diego, need it for 3 months starting late dec/early jan. Will be preparing yacht before proceeding down to mexico. Should take ownership of yacht in December. Will need to live aboard during the preparation. Am on a bit of a budget, therefore no car. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I stayed in Marina Cortez for six months, very friendly and easy going place to keep a boat. You'll be right downtown and in the middle of a giant sailing community, most of the craigslist ads are for equipment within the surrounding marinas... all within walking distance for those carless moments

If you want to save money, try the marinas in Chula Vista and National City:

Pier 32 - National City;

California Yacht Marina - Chula Vista;

Chula Vista Marina - Chula Vista.

They are located in the south bay and, probably because they are farther from the ocean, tend to be $100 or so per month less than other San Diego Bay marinas.

I don't know about Pier 32, but the 2 Chula Vista marinas (both of which are in the Chula Vista Harbor) are within walking distance of the trolley.
