Trailer size Catalina 27

I have found a trailer that the owner uses to haul his Catalina 25 around on it... I am hoping my Catalina 27 will fit on this trailer. Anyone have a guess as to if a Cat 27 will fit on a Cat 25 trailer... or know of where I might get the min required dimensions on a trailer for it to work with the Cat 27?

Check the weight limits.
The Cat 27 is 50% heavier than the 25.

Trailers have axle weights, which represent the capacity of the axle. As long as the axle capacity is there you could reinforce other parts of the trailer if needed. You could also add an axle. I believe the C27 I looked at had a 3 axle trailer.

Weight difference between 25 and 27' is probably nominal and should be no problem. Hull dimension might be a concern as in how and where the bunks hold the boat. If it's close you're probably ok.

I just got cradle dimensions from Catalina for my 27'. The drawing they sent said Catalina 25 and Catalina 27 cradle. If Catalina used the same cradle for the 25 and 27 it should fit. Let me know. I am looking for a trailer too.

Not necessarily true the C25 displacement is around 4500, the C27 6800 from the factory. You can expect another 500-1000lbs of misc on board. If the trailer has two 3500 lb axles you will be overweight by a couple of hundred lbs with the C27. If you have two 4500lb the trailer should be fine.
