Something is rotten in Denmark, er, Northport.
Fortunately most people know that a 'free boat' is usually anything but that.
Stated CONS from the add:
- soft decks. Deck re-coring is a big job.
- Atomic 4 needs work. This could mean an overhaul which is big job.
- sounds poorly maintained overall in recent years.
What is not stated is that the title is free and clear. There may be various liens against the boat that will need to be paid off: mechanics liens, unpaid dock/marina fees, a loan that was used to purchase the boat. I would be very careful about accepting a boat like this for free. I also don't want another boat as I am happy with my older Tartan 27' and all that she costs to keep afloat and on the hard. She is all yours capitalistnyc.
I found the CL add but will not post it as you seem to 'be all over' this one. I keep my T27 up at Nyack, NY. Where in NY Harbor do you sail your P27 and H 23?
