Me and the old lady went for a sail today. Left Summerland Key on Ocean Drive,Wind was 40 Degrees @ 15. Sailed out to Looe Key for some snorkling. Water was Awsome CLEAR. Could see cudas for at least 75 ft,. Sailed back in to Sandy Beach for a picnic. Nothing taste better then a sandwich on a sailboat. Waded up to the beach and found some Shells for the grandkids. A seaplane took off from Little Palm and turned over us at low altitude-really looked cool. Cruised back to the house by way of Ramrod Key. It was an awsome day. I just can't get over the fact that I can Cruise arount without FUEL.

A friend of mine passed away recently at the age of 98. He owned a little fishing cabin on Summerland where my parents took me several times during the winter for a two week stay. When I got married we stayed with him for a few days and we loved it, came back two more times. He never married and has no kids so his niece owns the cabin now. She offered to let us use it, so we're hoping to take our daughter and grandson down in early April. I once rented a J24 on Marathon, I'd love to find a sailboat for rent on Summerland.
