Seafarer 22

Hi,

After a long absence from sailboat ownership (hence my handle - BornAgainSailor), I'm the proud owner of an '84 Seafarer 22 sloop. Her hull and rigging are sound, but she needed some minor repairs and replacements after being stored on the hard for 4 years. Spent the summer sailing her around south coast of Cape Cod. Sailed well in all conditions. I'm very pleased with her. I'm interested in meeting other owners of Seafarer 22 to compare notes and discuss experiences with the 22.

UG, there are several good forums/discussion groups for fellow Seafarer owners. First, go to the "Seafarer" forum http://www.sailnet.com/forums/seafarer/ group on this site.

There is also an active Seafarer group on Facebook. Just type in the key words "Seafarer Yacht" from your FB homepage and it'll take you to the group.

The oldest and perhaps best known source is the Seafarer Research Center web site at Seafarer Research Center There is a discussion board feature on this site, but it otherwise hasn't been updated in some time.

Fortunately, there is still a very loyal group of Seafarer owners who are willing to share info on this fine line of boats. Let me know if I can help.

I appreciate your referrals. I did access the Seafarer Research Center site, but, as you noted, it was not updated. Will check out other sites. Pleased to know there are other satisfied Seafarer owners.
