The wife and I are going for the first time. Where's a good place to see the parade?

They split the fleet of boats so there is one bunch below the bridge and one above. They circle around for 30 minutes or so, then they'll open the bridge and the fleets will swap so everyone gets to see both sets of boats.

If you could get on the bridge, you might be able to limit your exposure to the cold by seeing both fleets at the same time.

Last year we were able to watch from the comfort of my brothers living/dining room on Spa Creek just above the bridge. Unfortunately he was on a short term assignment and no longer has a place in "Naptown. If we go this year, we'll be out in the cold with the commoners.

Eastport Yacht Club sponsors the parade; their deck by design has a great view. Members and guests only.

Severn Sailing Association is good also.

Parking at that end of Eastport is a challenge.

Chart House Restaurant lounge is great. So is Carroll's Creek. The docks and out boats at any of the marinas below the bridge on Spa Creek. The park at City Dock works also. Grab a mooring ball in the main field and you'll have the best view in the house.

You can get a decent but not great view from the deck outside the Marriott.
