Pearson 419 ~ 422 or 424

Anybody have one of these models. I really like the boats but would like to hear other owners opinions.
There are a few on the market now of the earlier center cockpit models and the prices are in my range.
Seems like a lot of boat for the money.
Any concerns or problems characteristic of the models I should be looking for?
I need a new home. Thanks.

I have the 424's little sister, the 365. I've heard good things about the 422 and 424. When we were boat shopping, we looked at a 424. It is a lot of boat for the money. The one we looked at needed too much work for the price and it had in-mast furling. Those two things took that particular boat off our list.

I love my 365.

Thanks, I have looked at the 365 but thought it would be a little tight for my gang of three.

I agree but it works well for the two of us. However, when we add our three dogs, it sure is crowded.

When I was looking for a liveaboard I was concentrating on CC models like the Gulfstar 44, etc. I had never seen a P 424 and when I did it became the perfect boat for me. It has a great master SR but is an aft cockpit boat. The separate shower stall is also a plus.

There are three layouts; “A” which I had. “B” which adds a full head to the bow cabin and “C” which is the single companionway version and has the aft SR enclosed. It also has a dinette instead of facing settees.

Factory sail plans ran the gamut of sloop, ketch and cutter.

They are a lot of boat for the money and pretty well made.
