Posting the same post on different forums is a violation of forum rules no matter which forum you place the duplicate post.

With regards to 'The Arrival' there is more footage of champagne and orange logos than there is of sail boat racing so I have concluded that this is more of a commercial plug than a sailing flick. As such, links to the film are a violation of forum rules.

You are welcome here, but if you elect to do so, please adhere to forum rules.

It is Yellow. Not Orange. And I still disagree with your conclusions.

This film didn't have to be made, but it was made to promote the race and the celebratory nature of The Arrival. Celebration = Champagne or sometimes Rum or sometimes other vices.

And honestly, Bella, you believe that the figgin Chi-Mac needed to be advertised? Oops, I mean "promoted"? 350-400 boats on the line, and it needs 'help'?

You can disagree all you want, but Jeff's a MOD and has made a final decision.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I found the vid on vimeo and thought it was cool. Got to see a little bit of the sailing community. It even calmed the itch to go sailing which was much appreciated considering how cold it is.

Too bad :(

Sorry you missed the film, it was HOT! One female crew in bikinis were pouring Champaign all over each other, very hot.

The fuzzy mod has weak morals...and is easily swayed by alcohol... even a bottle or two of two buck chuck would do it for the fuzzy rat.
