sailing qualifications required before hiring yacht

Hi, could somebody be kind enough to enlighten me as to which ualification in the UK i would need to have in oder to hire out a yacht to travel to Northen France in.
What are the guidelines stipulated by charter yacht companies? will they ask to see proof of number of sea hours? and proof of certifications?

I cannot say for for sure, but I suspect that you need an ICC. (International Certificate of Competency). If you are a citizen of the UK, contact the Royal Yachting Association.
