Leasing a Sailboat???

Does anyone know of a boat that I could lease for a year in Virginia (Tidewater Area)? Looking for a 30' +/- cruiser.

I would pay for a lawyer to draft a contract that would protect owner / leaser.

Has anyone had any experience with leasing a sailboat? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing's impossible but "it's just not done that way".

You'd have better luck posting some notices at yacht clubs or asking brokers if they know anyone who might go for it. Or just buying (and financing) a popular model that would be easy to resell a year from now. Might get a broker to reduce his commission if you guaranteed him the resale, too.
