We are down here in Corpus Christi on the boat for a few days - all of you up there shoveling snow, come on down. It's sundown, so it's cooled down to about 70 degrees, were about walk over to the pavilion and have a drink with the other sailors.

Happy New Year to everyone.

You folks in the Southern States realize that you are making the rest of us incredibly jealous, don't you?

Took a sailing buddy out for a day sail, today. Not so warm. Minus 2C when we got to the boat. It was so freakin' cold that the dock lines were frozen.

For folks familiar with Vancouver, we had a nice trip up to the Buntzen Lake power station in Indian Arm. Light outflow winds, sunny and clear. The snow on the mountains was spectacular.

Bundling up made the cold bearable. Yeah, we were both happy campers! Yes, Virginia, there is winter sailing in Vancouver!

We're off to Bowen Island for New Year's Eve with our club... I think the cabin heat's going to get a workout!
