We planned this trip for awhile. We've started going places on the holidays to stem the "family" tide during this time of over eating and purchasing! We're past the point of buying gifts for everyone so we spend the money on something for us instead. The year before we made the Keys our destination.
We flew into Nassau and then onto G-Town the next morning. Now that i've been to Nassau I can do without it. It's just too touristy! The Exumas on the other hand are absolutely awesome! Laid back and less white people!
I was hoping to run into Skip (Flying Pig) but limited internet and time - it just didn't pan out. I did chat with Spencer and Kathleen, you can follow them here: Home- Sail Vicarious
This is just down the road from where we're at.
Tropic of Cancer Beach, place sucks!
Turtle Rock
We managed to dispatch at least one a day. That's right, NO HANGOVERS in the Bahamas! I can't explain it - but it's TRUE!!!
I found Charlie another girl to rescue! Is this a Kettenburg?
The rest of the Marina.
It's for sale!
How bout some Kidd Cove...
Government Docks... Water Taxi is here to take you over to Stocking. Ask for Elvis! He's a man of many hats as well as Mayor.
The only gas station in town, happens to be Elvis' sisters.
Dinghy dock behind Exuma Market - free water...
More Kidd Cove.
Exuma Market.

Stocking Island was great! We hung out for awhile at Chat N Chill and had some Kalik's and some burgers. Then headed over to the Exuma Sound side for the beach. I tell you, this place is horrible - don't go!
Heading over on the Taxi.
There's She blows! Flying Pig!
Heading to the Beach!
From atop Stocking Island!
This is what you come to - FANTASTIC! The surf was big too, it was a blast.
SS Smack, it has potential!
Or perhaps this little Jewel!

There are so many pics I could go on forever really. In the end it all came down to going and checking on our property. We have a small lot on Little Exuma that we plan to build on eventually. So far there aren't any houses built in front of us so we still have a view!
If you have a chance make sure to hit up George Town!!! You won't be disappointed!

Oh, I was standing right beside this lady at the bar at Chat N Chill. By the time I realized it she had run off with cookies or something for the cooks there. I could have asked her about her thoughts and pictures from the Rule 62 accident site - oh well, too many Kalik's!
