Some of the basic construction is poor and all the extras are really badly installed. It's been a battle just to get basic things like the generator working. The decks are all coming unglued and the boats just over a year old! Do you own a Dufour? What's been your experience?

That is not normal. Something wrong there. I have seen and sailed on Dufour charter boats that are heavily used and never saw or heard nothing like that.
Last year I had an interesting talk with a big charter operator, he is on the business for a long time and operates Dufour, Bavaria, Beneteau, Jeanneau and Grandsoleil. I have asked him his opinion about those boats and he had said that the best were the Grandsoleil and that after and not far were the Dufour.
Regarding extras, some are mounted at the dealer and it makes a huge difference to have the boat rigged and mounted at an experienced dealer.
How is the dealer reacting to your claims?
Have you contacted the factory directly?
