Voyage to Knoxville
As the north winds blow and many boats sleep under blankets of snow or rest on trailers until the spring, my thoughts turned to a voyage I took at summer's end.
For your amusement I have written it up. For those who are interested, I can promise river navigation, bad radio protocol, a girl in a bikini, and incipient, but not actual, explosions.
It's the first link off of my sailing page, at Sailing: The Tall and the Short of It « Will's Miscellanous Musings
Thanks,
Captain Bill

"It ain't all buttons and charts, little albatross. You know what the first rule of sailing is? Love. You take a boat in to sea that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. Love keeps her afloat when she oughtta founder... tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keens… makes her a home." Captain Malcom Reynolds, Paraphrased
