Our Project Baby!

Our Bombay 31 is coming along! I had a few free hours a few weekends ago and decided We wanted stern perch seats after seeing how nice they were at the boat show. I didnt want to spend $275. So I made my own. Toal cost$119. with new 1/2" starboard, and used posts from Don's, fittings from West. Wife made bought foam from Home depot for 1" pipe, and used some left over canvas and velcro to make new cushions for the railings. Seats are awesome!
We also just had new canvas done, which we really like ! Next step is sanding and painting the top deck.
Not sure of what would be best paint to use for topsides. I thought of Awlgrip as we used on her sides but would like something easier to touch up over time. Any ideas?

Nice job on the stern perch seats! We'd love to add them to our boat, as the stern corners are currently unused open space and I think it would free up the cockpit, but we don't have a middle pipe on our stern rail. We only have the top rail and I can't figure out how to support the seat and keep it simple.

Is that a one piece sprayhood?
Happy sailing.

The side corners are removeable the center section is one piece but will unzip and roll up above the companionway , or you can remove the entire front piece. The guy did a good job and the price was incredible. Been in florida so long our blood has thinned out, if its below 70 were cold and keep it up
