Grandkid's thread

OK - minus 33 C (-27 F) this morning and I am dreaming about the summer.

We have four grandkids and they are a delight to take (one at a time) on the boat for a few days. Anyone else feel this way and want to show off a picture?

I've got some great pics of my nieces and nephew steering my 39' ketch, but they are real pics, not digital. The kids were 4-8 years last summer when I shot them (the pictures, not the kids).
Thanks for sharing yours.

Sometimes they're good....

Sometimes they must be disciplined.....

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I was 9 months old the first time I went sailing (unless you count the times whilst still in the womb).

It's a great way to grow up. Cute grandkids!

A ship in harbor is safe, but that's not why ships are built.
