Hints and Tips

About two years ago, I started a thread called "Hints and Tips." It ran off and on for 8 pages and almost a year and a half thanks to many contributions by SailNet members.

It was suggested near the end that someone organize and categorize all of the tips. Well, over on our site, the Frugal Mariner, we've done just that - and added a lot more from our own experience and that of friends.

I want to thank all of the contributors from SailNet. I have tried to attribute the tips which came from SailNet to the individual members. If any of you would rather I had not, please let me know and I will remove your (user) name from the hint - or remove the entire hint if you so choose.

If you would like further attribution (real name, link to your website or blog, etc.) again, please let me know.

I thank you all, especially Sabreman and Eryka who each contributed many. SailNet is a great resource and I hope my purloining some of the content will be viewed as what it was intended - sharing good information with a different audience.

Rikhall,

THANKS!
Never thought about iPhone Apps - (I'm so lo-tech I still use a dial phone).
I'll have to look into it - it would be nice to make money. Any tips on how to do it?

It can't be Rocket science - and at 99 cents an app - there might be lots of sailors who can afford it. I know this group is pretty "frugal".
