hurricanehole is on a distinguished road
Yes, thanks for the responses. I know what's going on the card now and also what to do about call signs and the MMSI. I'm not going to put a home address on for security reasons, if someone would like to check in with us they could call or email. The boat card is such a great thing to have on a trip, Larry and Susan have given the reason I was thinking of one for our boat.

Name of boat
type of boat with length beam and draft info
home port
crew names
email addresses
cell phones
MMSI, call sign
boat logo

Here are questions I might ask:
  • for whom is the card?
  • what information does that person probably want or need?
  • is there anything you really want to make sure they know?

We use ours as a general "business" card as well.

Rik

Being that we live on our boat, giving out our address is not so much trouble- nobody's going to rob our box number or our mail forwarder when we're not there. We're never there.

If it's a concern, get a P.O. Box or a mail forwarder. Easy and relatively inexpensive solution.
