Finally!

Went and picked out a slip yesterday and already met a soon-to-be dock mate. The marina will reserve the slip for me so I can move in about mid March. The poor Hunter has been on the hard since June. It's been an unbelievable s-storm getting to this point (she was part of an estate).

The terribly exciting thing is that it will be her first proper slip. Her previous berth was a covered marina (if you can call it a marina at all). She was one of two sailboats which remained tied up at the edge of the docks. Also, the lake where she was previously was made by pushing over trees then letting water in. The trees have begun to upright. She's sailed only a handful of times with her centerboard all the way down.
Finally, finally. Can't wait to stretch her legs!

Splash date March 18.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
