You guys put your boats away in the winter? That's crazy.

It's great to hear so much interest! I count 9-10 so far. Let me know if you're bringing guests so I can get a good estimate of the size or our group.

The standard menu at the boat club is very simple (just sandwiches and salads - click here for pdf), but is usually supplemented by dinner specials. The guys in the kitchen told me they would make sure they have some good specials for us. I'll try to post them the week before.

Any others interested? It will be a nice time, and our view of the sunset is great!

Our get-together is a little over a week away - Saturday, March 26. I suggest 6 pm, but am open to revise it if anyone feels strongly.

I am hoping that everyone can still come. If you have not signed up yet, or signed up and cannot make it, please reply here to let me know. I will call the club with a rough estimate tomorrow (Friday), so that they are not surprised. (They already know I'll have a group coming, but don't know what size.) I'll try to get an idea what their dinner specials will be that day.

Click here for directions from the MD-DE border. You can modify these directions for your own starting point.

Oh, that's a shame. We'll miss you. I am hoping everyone else who indicated their interest is still planning to come, and other fence-sitters post your interest here.

I spoke to the kitchen at the club on Friday. They have a catered event going on that evening, which is GOOD NEWS because they will have a lot of food available, i.e., good selection. It will be a hoppin' place. There is plenty of space there, and they said they'll give us a private room if it is too noisy for us.

I'm a little short on time right now, but in a couple days I'll try to compile the userids of everyone who mentioned their interest and send PMs with reminder and my contact information.

Rick,

It is my intention to try and make it. My wife is working though and will not attend.

Hope to see you again on Saturday,

Dave
