First dinghy day this year.

Took a Laser (Radial rig) out today. Air in the 70's, water in the low 50's. Spray top and wetsuit = happiness.

I don't see much talk about dinghies here. What's up with that?

I don't think there are many dinghy owners on this site. I hope to get one soon but I also am looking at kite surfing and a wind surfer. Do you dinghy race?

In all honesty i have periodic regret about buying the second J24 instead of a LASER

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat

As to dinghy's they are great, but I think most of them are sailed by a younger generation whom are more on Facebook, twitter, and text messaging. But hey some of us old folks like Lasers, Windsurfers, Flying Dutchmans, Flying Juniors, Vauriens, Moths, Cadets, etc. but we can't move as quick and most of the time like to stay dry and warm.

TOMMAYS'S you mention topside painting blues, what topside coating did you use on the Cal 29 as she looks nice.

Thats just the GALLON of 545 primer and it sill needs another

The real issue is painting and working in general with the weather i tend to think if i had a pole barn down south someplace the boat would be long done.

Even during a good day the temp swings so much your not using the right solvent or hardner at some point
