Interest in SW Florida Marco area

I have noticed that south of Marco Island there is an area of many islands.
Anybody with experience in those areas.... Looks like skinny water,
Is t sailable ? We are considering leaving the wnters behind.
Opinions and thoughts welcome. I am also lookng at Ft Myers.

Visited there once. Beautiful area, but shallow as you say. The Ten Thousand Islands has a lot of great history, too.

calusaislandmarina <--+ .com = good folks, decent docks. facilities for leases, nothing for transietns.


skinny channel, but doable. very nice area in the winter. buggy and hot in the summer.

yes skinny water, but with a good chartplotter and shoal draft its a great place to get away.


stans is a great dive bar in goodland. busy on sundays with the biker crowd.

Marco is Utopia; Goodland is regular people, the rest of us.

Stan's is a great place.
