Lofland PivNic 17

Has anyone heard of this boat. We have a chance to pick one up for a very good price . Can not find out much about them except they stopped building them in 1972. My concern is getting parts , or info. Figure I would have to build my own replacement parts.
Our idea is to use it as a second boat to teach the grand kids to sail.

The PicNic 17 is an interesting design. With that reverse sheer it looks like a downsized Thunderbird. (As an aside, the reverse sheer is one shortlived 60s trend i am glad faded away- it always looks odd to my eye.)

Check this guy out- his boat used to have a Berkeley jet-drive!
