Using shock cord

How does one knot or splice hardware onto shock cord? I have never used it except ready-made bungees with hooks. If I want to connect snaps or rings how to I do it?

Great knot. I would add a safety hitch or whip the tail to the loop.

Bowline is it for me, too.

I've seen manufactured shock-cord loops held with some sort of crimp-on metal fitting, but I assume that will rust out and break at the worst possible moment. I like knots.

Sounds simpler than I thought. Good shock cord takes a knot? Doesn't slip? The whip would surely help. Maybe even a stitch or two.

Bowline + half hitch = bulletproof.
