Seasmoke has a new owner...

We have a solid buyer for Seasmoke, the K-40 we rescued back in December. The couple from New Zealand plan to cruise the PNW after we finish restoring the boat completely for a few months, before heading South and eventually to the South Pacific.

In case you forgot, here is Seasmoke as she looks now.

and

one more

We're chomping at the bit to get started on this old girl while we sprint down the homestretch on Lady J.

I am looking forward to seeing her out on the water.

I am assuming that the new owners will cruise Canada as well.

They would've had they not just lost 8% of their saving in exchange fluctuations since Friday. The deal is on hold or dead.

I'm still to get this morning's rates from our bank but as of last evening the AUD had regained most of the lost ground against the greenback and looking as if it would regain all of that this morning. The NZD has pretty much stayed with the AUD.

Charlie .. as of this morning Sydney time the NZD is down .5% against the AUD over the past week and the AUD is up .5% against the USD. I only monitor the NZD against the AUD so I don't have direct comparison with the USD but the worst they could have lost in the past seven days is 1%.

Not only may the deal be resurected, another suitor climbed aboard after reading a simlilar post in SA. Interesting day. I found out that my requested deposit only left $174.20 in the poor Bloke's account till payday. Might've been another reason to put it off eh? I sent an adjusted agreement to give him another shot at her. We shall see...
