Nextgen Diesel Generator

I installed the 3.5 KW nextgen 3 years ago with plans to go crusing in 2010. Just returned home and am sad to report I had nothing but trouble with it. Had 2 capacators fail and the muffler on the generator rotted and started leaking and spraying sea water inside the enclosure. This caused the engine to fail. Generator only had 85 hours of run time. Took gen to Nextgen in Jacksonville for repairs. $900.00 later my gen was fixed. Replacement muffler was a new style due to a bad design of the original. Nextgen took no ownership of the repair even though gen only had 85 hrs of use. Bottom line is if you have the old style muffer watch for leakage. Would like to know if anyone else has had this problem.
