Not at all. I know Caleb. He was just dumbing it down for the landlubbers. He and I talk on the VHF all the time. He's really a good guy and I'm jealous of his relationship with MissTaco81 (Sarah Gordon). He really got a good catch there!!!

At first I thought it was hysterical--a relatively young gal running on the beach with an old fart dressed in a sailor suit from the 40s. My next thought, though, was in the next few years he'll be dead, or at the very least, dead broke, and she'll be running on the beach with another old fart. Just a wild-assed guess!

Interestingly, a few weeks ago there was a gal looking for a ride south on someone's sailboat. She said she didn't know beans about sailing, but she could cook, clean, etc... OK all you good-looking, single, young, vivacious, rich ladies--here's your golden opportunity. Must be a couple hundred guys on this forum that sail alone all the time. If you want to do all the crappy jobs on a boat in exchange for a free boat ride, PM them ASAP--time is running out.

Cheers,

Gary

I prefer warm busch beer in a can. But I'm not very picky!

Lickingcardboard,

You are mistaken if you think that I have any affiliation with this site other than being a satisfied client.

Lickingcardboard,

I'm here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress!

Just as well SailingDog is missing in action or this could get really ugly.

Hey Scott ... ok so you have no affiliation but am I right in guessing that satisfied client Caleb is more than just a client ? As in he owns the site ?

tdw,

I have no clue about Caleb. The link to Sea Captain Date was sent to me by my admiral. I guess she thought it was funny, and I thought it would be fun to share it with sailnet with a little commentary.

I lied about being here all week. I only have today on the boat, but felt like blowing off a little steam and having a little fun after a cold winter. I do miss some of the lightheartedness of sailnet!

Scott
