sailing greenland and north newfoundland

we will sail this summer around greenland and newfoundland. we need a few more people to join to us and split the expences. every one is welcome.

First, welcome to SailNet. Second, a couple of issues with your first post:

- People (sane people, that is) will need to know something about you, your experience sailing in the high Arctic, the boat, the other crew, the plan....etc. before they will consider the trip.

- Everyone should not be welcome. Having been to Greenland, I'll tell you that it's no place for just anybody. In your crew you will want strong sailors who are physically fit, and at least a few people who have sailed to the edge of somewhere.

- I think it's expenses you mean to share.

PS -- the Arctic kills the careless and will do a real number on the unprepared. Don't take this trip casually. Most of it will not be much fun.

we will join to some one who has experience more that us and to go for this trip we need to split our expenses. we will sail south greenland not much north. so with our no much sailing experience i think this is not that bad. but you are right. we have to pay attention on everything. i hope there will be not bad weather and icebergs. thank youvery much for your response.

Their use of the English language and phrases reminds me of scammers who answer my for sale ads. ---as we know, there is no sharing of expenses if I am sailing my own boat and "they" are in theirs

Well, if you hope there will not be icebergs, might I suggest you consider a destination other than Greenland?

As others mentioned, you should be expecting bad weather and icebergs. Hoping there won't be any isn't a good plan.

Also, as BR said, folks will likely want to know more about your boat, it's equipment, and your preparations, before considering joining you.
