Where is Stillraining?

I was re-visiting some old thread subscriptions and realised he hasn't posted for a while! I remember him refinishing his galley sole and then disappearing... He was a cool dude!

Definitely a cool dude. Actually one of the best guys around.

I hope he's sailing.

Damn, so by horrible on a scale of 1 to 10? Not that I want to know, but are we talking divorce or death? Hope he comes back!

I haven't connected with him for a bit, but last I did he was just trying to get off the net and find more quality family time after losing a brother-in-law to a senseless killing in AK.

A great guy, with a great family.. maybe, unlike the rest of us, he's got better things to do...

The relaunch of his boat was finally imminent, it would be nice to know if that happened....

Ah, well good for him! Perspective is a nice thing when it comes calling. Some of us could use more, including myself. My wife and I try to remind ourselves how lucky we are...

I'm overdue for an email to Still. Will do over the weekend. He is one fine fellow but yes he has had his ups and downs , the tragedy of his brother in law's death affected him deeply and to boot he has had his fair share of work problems due to the building industry downturn.

He did cut out of SailNet to concentrate on the real world.

Building industry is still down around here. Have not heard from him in awhile either. I send him/daughter race notices, she was coming on board a bit last summer, then I think the race dates and American soccer/football got in the way. IIRC both girls do very well and are on some regional traveling teams. He did pickup some work late last year into the fall. ALtho not sure how it ALL turned out. TD, if you do not get an email back, let me know I'll try to call him and see how he is doing. Assuming his phone # is still the same.
