Anyone going to the Strictly Sail Pacific show at Jack London Square in Oakland this week? If so, stop by and say Aloha to First Mate Laura at the West Marine Booth. I may be wandering around the show myself if I can arrange transportation across the bay.

We will be departing San Francisco Bay at the end of the month for Hawaii. Still don't know for certain whether we will be heading south to San Diego first or straight across to Kawaihae but we are definitely leaving here by the first week in May.

I’m planning on being at the boat show on Friday and perhaps Saturday. Are the sailnetters planning a rendezvous at Heinhold’s or at the beer tent? The vendor list looks pretty comprehensive and I’m hoping that they are now senseing that we are finally coming out of the resession. The seminar speakers do look pretty low caliber with Zac and Abby Sunderland and that guy from San Diego who capsized his Macgreggor. Tho, Biron Toss is always pretty entertaining. Anyone want to continue the “guns” or “sport boat vs. cruising boat” threads live or at least gossip about Smackdaddy?

Yes. It has become part of our routine and we have gotten a lot of encouraging feedback. As long as Laura's Mom and my niece are watching we will continue to post them on YouTube - maybe even make a DVD.
